Бұл зерттеу Қазақстандағы қылмыстық істерді тергеуде цифрлық криминалистиканың рөлін қарастырады. Негізгі назар бейнебақылау жазбалары, мобильді деректер мен әлеуметтік желілер мазмұны сияқты цифрлық дәлелдемелердің жиналуына, талдануына және қолданылуына аударылады. Саясаттық құжаттар, істер мысалдары және құқықтық негіздерге сүйене отырып, зерттеу қадағалау технологияларының, жасанды интеллект пен үлкен деректердің қылмыстың алдын алуда да, сонымен қатар мемлекеттік бақылауда да кеңінен қолданылуын көрсетеді. Цифрлық криминалистика киберқылмыс пен алаяқтықпен күресу мүмкіндіктерін арттырғанымен, оны саяси көзқарастарды бақылауда пайдалану азаматтық бостандықтарға қатысты алаңдаушылық туғызады. Сондай-ақ зерттеу сотта цифрлық дәлелдемелердің сенімділігі мен қабылдануына әсер ететін негізгі құқықтық, техникалық және институционалдық мәселелерді айқындайды.
